Since its foundation this year, Hickory Hill Productions has worked on a number of projects. From writing scripts to providing DVD’s, the Hill can do it all.

  • Australia and the European Union in Conversation — Laura’s work as Visiting Fellow at The Australian National University Centre for European Studies involves making a short documentary commentating fifty years of relations between Australia and the EU. See more.
  • Ready, Set, Succeed for Student Services, ANU — a collection of twenty films assisting all new students at the ANU. See more.
  • From Country to Campus: stories of rural students at university for Student Equity, ANU — a selection of motivational stories and advice from rural and regional students at university. See more.
  • Fenner Hall Promotional Videos for Fenner Hall, ANU — three short films encapsulating the place, the people and the events at Fenner Hall, a large and vibrant residential community. http://fennerhall.anu.edu.au.
  • Online Leadership Program for Dean of Students, Residential and Campus Communities and Student Services, ANU — now in its post-production phase, this project involves interviews from current student leaders and staff members from the ANU. The videos aim to compliment an online resource to inform aspiring student leaders on the best practices in leadership, governance and management.
  • Sunken Stories of Old Acton for Acton Walkways — in its very early stages, this project involves sharing the memories of Old Acton, a suburb of Canberra now enveloped by Lake Burley Griffin. The project’s conclusion is set to coincide with Canberra’s 100th birthday as Australia’s capital. http://actonwalkways.com.
  • Research with Professor David MacDougall — the Hill is fortunate to gain insight to the works and processes of Professor David MacDougall. http://rsh.anu.edu.au/people/profile_system/public.php?id=115.
  • Conference Coordinator, Visible Evidence 2012 — putting on an event management cap, Laura is Conference Coordinator for Visible Evidence 2012, an international documentary conference hosted this year in Canberra by The Australian National University and the National Film and Sound Archives. http://www.visibleevidence2012.com.
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part One) London Premiere 2010 for Harry Potter Fan Zone — arguably a highlight of her time behind camera, Laura was invited by webmaster Andy McCray to film and interview on the red carpet in Leicester Square. http://harrypotterfanzone.com.
