Many years ago on Hickory Hill, a place that overlooks both nowhere and everywhere, a simple film was made. It captured the lives of many with the images of a few. And when people watched it they paused, wondering if the screen was in fact a mirror, reflecting back their own image of the world…
Following the success of first time filmmaker Laura Clarke, Hickory Hill Productions was born with the intent to open minds and alter viewers' perceptions of the world around them.
Founded by Laura Clarke, the Hill represents her body of work developed over the past nine years. A girl from the country, Laura’s style is distinctly rustic and down-to-earth.
Based in Sydney, Laura frequents her home on the Monaro for inspiration and energy for the company’s diverse filmic pursuits.
Though her product is always varied and adaptable to different environments she never forgets where her first film was born.
